Mr. Q and Mrs. U were married last week in a lovely ceremony. You know that the two are NEVER separated, so Riley's class hosted a wedding to unite them forever! The two letters promised to work together to form words like quick, quiet, and quit. Their vows were exchanged beneath a decorated flip chart stand found at the end of a long roll of pink butcher paper that served as the aisle runner. Hee hee! Tables were draped in pink with green and silver accents, and the girls wore veils displaying the letter "U" while the boys had bowties showcasing the letter "Q'. It was a snazzy affair! Our very own Queenie served as the flower girl and LOVED getting to be in charge of the basket of petals!
They held the wedding and then served refreshments at the reception: white snack cakes stacked to form a wedding cake, chocolate ones stacked for the groom's cake, punch, pillow mints, Quaker oatmeal cookies and Nesquik chocolate drinks.
